The Resistance franchise is relatively new, as it only started in 2006. However, even though the game was relatively new, it was announced that it would receive
its first spin-off title on the Sony PSP called Resistance Retribution. This story would venture away from the main arc and focus on efforts elsewhere against the
Chimeran forces.
Resistance: Fall of Man was the original title in what is expected to be a trilogy on the Sony Playstation 3. With Resistance 2, they decided to go away from a
under-lying title and just used the game's basic name. It sees the return of Nathan Hale as the main series' protagonist in humanities fight against the invading
Chimeran forces.
