Hamish Robson is a Lieutenant Colonel and also Regional Commissioner for the Department of Civil Defence. He was given the rather unfortunate task of letting the other military staff know if their loved ones were unable to make the preliminary stage evacuation. One such letter he wrote was addressed to Lt. Sean Wickham, who's wife unfortunately was sent to London to await further vessels. This letter was sent on the 12th September, 1950, and was most likely one of the last few letters to be sent out by Hamish Robson.
