The Fury is an aquatic varitation of the Chimera and a new addition to Resistance 2. They appear somewhat similar to that of a seal or walrus in appearence, and share similar qualities i.e. they are sometimes seen outside of the water, suggesting that they are not purely water-based.

Furies are quite potent in their attacks, as if they are in close proximity to the player, they can inflict instant kills. In areas where Furies are present, it is advisable to proceed with the utmost haste when crossing water. It's also impossible to kill a Fury, as none of the arsenal found in Resistance 2 damage them. This is the same whether the player is in the water, or on land.
