Resistance: Fall of Man
Annoying Little Pests
The Leaper is one of the lowest forms of Chimeran evolution and they are usually encountered while hatching from their eggs. Due to their ability to walk on walls though, they can easily ambush the player, but they usually make a distinctive screeching sound whenever they're near.
They use their numbers to their advantage and are usually seen in packs, but they move quite quickly and often use cover to shield their attack runs. Their attack range is quite short as they usually jump their prey and try to bite them. This may seem harmless, but they jump exceedingly fast, and once they're up close, they are unrelenting.
Due to their nature to hunt in groups and their lack of long-range attacks, the Rossmore 236 is the perfect weapon to combat these foes. Having said that, the Arc Charger also proves more than handy, due to the Ion Bursts' linking ability.
Resistance 2
Just As Annoying
(^Top)
The leaper makes a return in Resistance 2, although they don't appear very much during the main story. They are much weaker however, and they can easily be wiped out with a Carbine. If overkill is required, the HVAP Wraith is always a bit of fun though.
Leapers actually appear during the Online Co-Operative mode too, in very large packs. It's extremely easy to get overwhelmed if they aren't wiped out before they can gather in numbers.
