The Storm Rifle (Sturmgewehr) is the standard assault rifle for the Maquis. It has a strong similarity to the M5A2 Carbine, with it offering a reasonable amount of damage and a large clip size. In comparison to the Razor, its damage is fairly weak, but it can hold up to three grenades for usage in its Grenade Launcher attachment.

The Storm Rifle is probably best used for taking down enemies such as Hybrids, Leapers and Boilers, mainly due to its high accuracy and quick rate of fire. It works best when used in combination with manual aim, especially for lining up head shots. However, it's particularly poor against any kind of machine based enemies and using the Razor or Auger is probably recommended against those enemy types.
