The Reaper is a Chimeran weapon, which is used by Slipskulls. Its characteristic red beam is a surefire way to tell that they are present, as this is the Reaper's locking on system. Once the target is locked, the bullets will auto-aim. Note, this is not the same as homing, it just means the crosshair is always focused on the locked enemy.

Unlike all other weapons in Resistance Fall of Man, the Reapers actually are a dual weapon. This means that each weapon is controlled by the corresponding fire button. So primary fire fires the right gun and the secondary fire fires the left gun.

The Reaper is acclaimed to be the best weapon in the game, hence why it was excluded from the online multiplayer mode. Not only does it have extreme range, but it fires approx 28 bullets a second, all of which automatically aim for the opponents head if they're inside the red crosshair. The only disadvantage is that there is rarely any ammo for the gun and since its entire ammo reserve can be used up in under 30 seconds, it's a prize possession that should only come out when the times are hard, or some fun needs to be had.

Obtained: The Reapers are acquired during the second playthrough in York - "The Gauntlet". Just before the end of the level, they are hidden away down inside an alley before going through an archway.

Tip: The Reapers actually have an exceedingly useful purpose; as a melee weapon. Unlike all other weapons, since there are two Reapers, a melee hit actually strikes twice. This means enemies can be beat down in no time.

Tip: Since the Reapers are actually two guns, they can fire at two different targets. Once a target has been locked on, start firing with one gun, then aim at the second target and fire with the second gun. They will then fire at independant targets for mass carnage.
