The Spider Grenade is a new type of grenade developed using biological features of the Chimera, specifically the Marauder. Inside the Marauder's saliver are necrotoxins which have a volatile reaction with oxygen. Because of this, the grenade is air-tight to prevent any undue reactions from taking place.

Upon throwning the grenade the air-tight seal is broken and the necrotoxins start to react with the oxygen. This causes it to expand at a relatively quick rate as well as combusting. The combustion is its drawback though, as it consumes the necrotoxins after a short period of time, diminishing the effect the grenade can have. However, while it's around the damage it causes is very considerable, especially to large groups of enemies huddled together or tough foes like Titans.

This weapon can only be used in the Single Player Campaign.
