The XR-003 Sapper is a weapon believed to be developed by the American Military and it is very unique in its design. Instead of firing normal projectiles, it fires orbs, which aren't dissimilar to those excreeted from a Widowmaker. The orbs explode when they come into contact with Chimera and in bulk, can cause considerable damage.

The secondary fire of the Sapper can only be used if orbs have been planted on a surface. If no enemy is present, the orbs will stick to whatever surface they land on, and the secondary fire "Detonate", makes all of the planted orbs explode.

Tip: Try to preempt where the enemy is going to run and lay down traps for them. As soon as the orbs sense an enemy nearby they will explode causing considerable damage if a cluster has been left. Using the Sapper this way makes it a very strong weapon.
